Juvenile Park Hours in Colona

The City Council of Colona recently amended the hours of all parks and recreation areas to preserve the peace and to avoid vandalism.

  • The closing and opening hours of all parks and the Parkway leased by the City of Colona on the Hennepin Canal shall be deemed to be one-half hour after sundown for closing and shall open one-half hour before sunrise for individuals under the age of eighteen (18).
  • Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) shall be allowed to remain in the recreation areas after closing if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Individuals under the age of eighteen (18) shall be allowed to remain in recreation areas after the closing on those occasions a designated area is used for a special City sponsored acitivity.  Individuals under eighteen (18) who are attending such sponsored events shall be out of the area one-half hour after the event closes.
