Contractor's Registration

In order to be allowed to do business in the City of Colona, all contractors must register with the City.

  • All contractors doing business in the City of Colona shall pay an annual registration fee of $50 per calendar year (January through December). Passed by the City Council of Colona 05/10/2010. (Plumbers are exempt from this fee unless they also do HVAC.)
  • Certificate of Insurance showing the City of Colona as a certificate holder
  • Contractor Bond of $10,000 to the City of Colona
  • Copy of your current roofers and/or plumbers/electricians master license

Credit Card Payments Made in Office or Online

The City of Colona offers the convenience of accepting MasterCard, Discover, American Express and Visa credit cards for licenses and permit fees. The payment processing company charges a service fee of 2.65% or $3.00 minimum to cardholders who use this service. If you like, you can just stop by our office to use your MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express or Visa.
