City Council

Council Meetings

  • Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month unless it falls on a holiday
  • Meeting is then held on Tuesday 
  • Location of all council meetings is the Colona City Hall 100 E. 9th Ave in the Council Chambers.
  • Meeting begins at 6:00 pm.
  • The Public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
  • If you wish to address the Council on a particular subject, you may submit a request in writing by 4:00 p.m. the Thursday before the scheduled meeting to the Acting City Clerk or complete a Public Comment Card at the meeting.
  • Agenda will be available to view by 4:30 pm on the Friday before the scheduled meeting at City Hall or on the website

Public Comment Guidelines

  • Public Comment portion of the meeting limited to 15 minutes
  • Number of speakers limited to five (5)
  • Each speaker gets three (3) minutes to address the City Council

OMA Training

Public Officials required to complete OMA training once each term.
