INDEPENDENCE DAY - NORMAL PICK UP SCHEDULE

LABOR DAY - ONE DAY LATE

THANKSGIVING - NORMAL PICK UP SCHEDULE

CHRISTMAS DAY - TUESDAY PICK UP RUNNING AS NORMAL.

                                                              WEDNESDAY WILL BE ONE DAY LATE DONE ON THRUSDAY 

If the holiday is not listed garbage pickup will be on regularly scheduled days

     

 Garbage Pick-Up Days

• Tuesdays: West side of IL 84 and "Old Colona" on the north side of the Hennepin Canal.
• Wednesdays: Green Park, Greenwood, Carroll's, Mortensen's, Level Acres and Stonebridge additions.
• Please put your garbage out the night before.  They start collecting as early as 4 a.m.
• Do not put your garbage out more than 24 hours in advance.

Items to Be Picked Up By Garbage Company

• There is a $5 fee per item for furniture pick-up.  Stickers must be purchased at City Hall.
• Cans of paint will be picked up if the lid is removed and the paint dried out or you can add kitty litter to absorb the paint.
• Needles used for injections should be put in some kind of container such as milk jug, coffee can, etc and then put out with the regular trash.
• Carpet must be cut in 3 foot sections, rolled and tied. Contact Jackson disposal for further details
• Car parts, fencing, tires, motor oil, electronic items will not be picked up by the garbage company.
• The garbage company allows up to 120 gallons in cans OR 8 bags per week.
