Garage/Yard/Basement Sales

Sale Permit Information

• All garage/yard/basement sales must have a permit.
• Permits are available at City Hall during regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm) for $1.
• Sales are limited to a maximum of three consecutive days.
• There is a limit of  two sales per calendar month and there is a limit of 6 sales per calendar year at any one residential address or location.
• Please post your permit in a prominent location during the time of the sale.
• Violations of the ordinance are subject to penalty.  Each day without a permit is considered a violation.

Signage for Garage/Yard/Basement Sales

• All signs must be behind the utility poles along IL 84 per the Illinois Department of Transportation.
• Please remove your signs after your sale is over.
